Our Top Eco Friendly Styles to Get Your Motor Runnin’

By Bonny Osterhage

The latest fall trend is embracing all that’s good about looking “bad.” It falls somewhere between Joan Jett and Hell’s Angels and relies heavily on leather, spikes, and chains. At first glance, it is not a trend that appears to lend itself to the green way of life. But, look a little closer and you will find that these eco fashion essentials will let you look tough, while maintaining your soft spot for the planet. Rock on!

Seriously?! SERIOUSLY?!

To Pee or Not to Pee

If you are flying Nippon Airlines Japan this month, be ready to arrive at the airport much earlier than the recommended hour before takeoff. Why? Because now, in addition to dumping the contents of your purse, chances are that you will be required to dump the contents of your bladder, as well. No, it’s not random drug testing. It is this airline’s bizarre attempt at going green/cutting costs. By requiring passengers to pee before boarding, the theory is that the plane will weigh less and therefore use less fuel. Seriously?! As if having to throw away our favorite lip gloss at security wasn’t bad enough, now we could be forced to pee on demand?  We appreciate the eco effort, Nippon, but we’ll stick to an airline that challenges our beauty, instead of our bladder.
