Suds in a Bucket is probably the happiest natural skin care line we've covered. Why? Well, even the name makes you smile. The striped colorful packaging is very appealing, kind of old fashioned and happy. The scents, like Pear Blossom, Juicy Orange, Sweet Vanilla, Honey & Milk and Lavender Fields (all the ones we tried) are to die for...reminded us of happy childhood indulgences, like vanilla ice cream cones and Dreamsicles. But the happiest part is how the scrubs, lotions and body butters feel and work on your skin...

Yes...we've all talked over and over again about the bamboo controversy. But, at the end of the day, bamboo is a sustainable plant that can be grown without pesticides. While chemicals are used to turn it into fiber, it's still a big step in the right eco friendly clothing direction.

 

So, enough political drama and let's start admiring the beautiful 100% bamboo jersey and silk dresses and tops from Doie Designs. So feminine...so flirty...so sexy...so striking. We were particularly drawn to the spring 2008 Alus collection because of the Asian influenced bamboo stalk pattern (shown above), which appears on many of the pieces, but there's so much more. In the past we have had a love/hate relationship with self-tanners. We know sun is bad for us, but love the look of a golden tan. Traditional, chemical-laden self tanners are not an option and we hate the streaking, messiness and odor. Then there is the fact that the resulting color is never quite right for our skin tone. So when Xen-Tan paraben-free Face Tanner and Deep Bronze came across our desks, we were skeptical but, with summer around the corner, we figured what the heck! We tried it on an olive-skinned staffer, who tans easily, as well as a fair skinned woman with a ruddier complexion. The results were the same: Amazing! Just ask Nicolette Sheridan...
