Sometimes you just get blown away by the creative magic that goes into certain collections. Such is the case with Rumblefish, a fantastic jewelry company with literally five different collections, made of recycled 14K gold and stering silver. Not only that, but the two women behind the line also make sure they are "giving back." They donate 100% of the profits from their "Africa" collection (photo 4) to "Keep a Child Alive." Kudos!
I have to say
that I was most drawn to the "Signature" collection (photo 1 and earrings pictured directly left) because it is unlike anything I've seen...very vintage...chic beyond belief. These hand made, limited edition, eco fashion statement pieces are created by joining vintage luxe fabric trim and settings with mostly semiprecious stones. Spectacular and really light weight! We also liked the quotes depicted in the "Credos and Zodiac" collection (photo 3), like "The bad news—There is no key to the universe. The good news—It was never locked." The other two collections, also worth checking out, are "Love and Peace Pass It On" (photo 2), from which a portion of profits go to benefit The Peace Alliance, and "Floating Pearl & Fleur de lis" (not pictured). In other words, there is something here for every taste. Are you ready? Let's rumble! www.rumblefishcollection.com
WHERE OLD MINISKIRTS GO TO LIVE
See the soft, slouchy black tote bag with the cute flower applique in the photo on the far left? It used to be a black leather miniskirt... Still has the zipper on the back... And the strap? It started life as a belt... The bright blue tote above center was a miniskirt too, joined in its new life as a handbag by pieces of a suede miniskirt, another belt and some couch remnants. We think this is some great "reincarnation!"
Salvation Sacks is the creation of a former corporate attorney, who longed to get in touch with her artistic side and we think she's done a fine job. The collection also includes cute bowler bags (above right), giving new life to all kinds of fun remnants, like upholstery, curtains, men's ties and vintage jewelry. No two bags are alike, so when you jump onto the website (and we know you will), make sure you act fast or your own special bag may be "snagged!" www.salvationsacks.com

When we first took a look at PeaceKeeper Cause-Metics, we were given a list of the Top 10 reasons to buy the products and "join the family." We can narrow it down to just three...
◄ PeaceKeeper is the first beauty company in history to donate ALL of its profits, after taxes, to women's health and human rights advocacy issues.
◄ PeaceKeeper participates in absolutely no animal testing and uses no harmful chemicals, coloring its collection of nail polishes, lipsticks and lip glosses with natural minerals.
◄ By purchasing PeaceKeeper products, you become a PeaceKeeper, helping to raise millions of dollars for charities.
While we don't think much more has to be said, just know that there are many advocacy issues and causes that the company supports, which you can read about on the website. Proceeds from sales of
the UNIFEM gloss, for example, are donated to the United Nation's Development Fund for Women (UNIFEM), which supports programs around the world to end violence against women. Or, you can have your kiss displayed in the "Kiss Museum" and help a girl in need. By the way, did we mention that the colors are great, that we love the names, like "Paint Me Empowered" and "Paint Me Compassionate," and that the line has a celebrity following, including Daryl Hannah and Bonnie Raitt?! www.iamapeacekeeper.com.
