This fall is all about statement necklaces and, not since the hickey you sported in junior high, has your neck had so much to say. The big, colorful and unusual, eco friendly necklaces we’ve found, including many one-of-a-kind works of art, are sure to ignite conversation wherever you go. Yes, the sacks of fat and glands known as “breasts,” that perk (or hang) from our chests, are sexualized. But, the reason we have them is not to turn men on, in the process of making babies, but to feed them (babies, not men). The frightening fact is that, for many of us, our precious, pushed up pearls (or jugs, depending on size) will be struck with disease…breast cancer.
The reality is that one in thirteen average women will have the disease in their lifetime. And, that stat only includes “average” women, not those who fall into the “high risk”category (whose mother or sister have had the disease), which brings that number up to one in seven women falling victim. Thankfully, you can take steps to minimize your chances, as well as the chances of millions of other women. How? Purge your surroundings of chemicals (like those in your food, make-up, and cleaning products), eat a healthy diet, rich in antioxidants, lose weight, stop smoking, exercise, limit your intake of processed foods, go in for regular breast exams…and shop. ![]()
I DO!
Marymee? In a heartbeat! It was love at first sight when we were introduced to this new elegant, casual, eco fashion collection. Made from stretch bamboo jersey, bamboo French terry and organic cotton, we’d describe them as colorful, comfy, sexy and super cute girly, yet sophisticated…oh and did we mention flattering and thinning! The tees (not shown) are done with asymmetrical seams to create a thinning effect and
the sweats and
dresses, some with ruffles in places you’d never expect to see them and some with flowered detail, are unique, hot and fun. The wide leg pant (left) with the thick off center drawstring and low pocket is totally cool. The pieces come in a broad range of colors, from basics, like black, natural and grey to striking red, mustard and deep purple.
Here’s the best part… You could call this a White Apricot “get it first” discovery because this collection is brand new. But, we got a sneak peak and the go ahead for you to contact the designer, maria@marymeeclothing.com to order now!
