We keep salivating over jackets…beckoning to us as the weather finally begins to cool down. Here are two to beckon right into your fall wardrobe from Truly Organic. First, the styling is casual great. The Misty short hooded jacket (far left) combines organic cotton twill with organic corduroy detailing down the front placket and across the waist in a rich dark taupe color. The longer Rainier Hooded Jacket (near left) is very cozy, made of 100% organic cotton sherpa fabric, and comes in three colors, blue grey (shown), dark taupe and soot black. Both are $148. But here’s the real deal. Truly Organic is…well…truly organic, using only completely chemical free fabrics (from farm to garment) and dyes (we’re talking herbs and spices!). So what we have here is stylish, comfortable and wonderfully delicious! www.truly-organic.com
The folks at Horny Toad love to have a good time, which you'll discover when you go to their website. But, here's something we just learned. You get a whole lot of fun perks when you sign up for their email and become a "citizen," like automatic entry into their $100 monthly gift card drawing, citizen only discounts, presale, event and contest announcements, plus, as they so eloquently put it...other "random gestures of appreciation."
ALL USED UP AND GOOD AS NEW!
by Laurel House

Considering the insanity that is the financial market, it’s time to green your wardrobe in a whole new way…used. Even on days when the economy is seemingly on the mend, its volatility has seriously shaken up my system. If this doesn’t tell me anything, I don't know what will…I have stopped shopping. Yes, I am on a self-imposed spending freeze.
To combat the sadness that undeniably takes over upon the realization that you (or at least I) can’t shop, I have come up with an alternative shopping plan— Shopping in Your Own Closet. Yes, I am going to reintroduce you to a method that you may remember from 8th grade. It worked then, and believe me, it works now. Just give it a day…or at least an evening. Turn on some good trash TV or 80s music, anything that will put you in a good mood. Do not drink. Believe me, I have done this after a few and it’s never a good thing. Here are the five essential steps to follow. Each step is important so don’t skip any!

Winter is fast approaching and we all know what that means—dry skin. Those ugly alligator scales we get from shaving our legs, the dry rough patches on our elbows—it’s no wonder we stay covered up. Fortunately, facialist to the stars, Sonya Dakar, has applied her philosophy for treating the face to treating the body with a superior grade botanical-based skin care collection, featuring Organic Omega essential oils. The collection consists of six different products designed to work together for red-carpet worthy skin. We can’t get enough of the Nourishing Body Oil with its fortified Organic Omega-3 Complex. It goes on light, soaks right in and leaves us feeling silky—not greasy. Plus we love the glow! www.sonyadakar.com.
