FEELING THE LOVE

By Bonny Osterhage
Dear Cupid:
As February 14 draws near and you load up your bows and (biodegradable) arrows, don your (cloth) diaper and take aim at poor unsuspecting souls, we would like to pose a question: Why does this holiday cause more gift giving anxiety than any other special occasion? We suspect it has something to do with the fear of sending the wrong message. After all, there is a fine line between romantic and sappy, sexy and trashy, cute and just plain silly. Well Cupid, we’ve decided to lend you a hand with this dilemma and offer our suggestions for the perfect eco friendly Valentine’s Day gifts. We hope you will take them to heart.
XOXO
ARE YOU “TIRED OF” THE ECONOMY?... “I’M TIRED OF…” IS!
We are all so tired of the economy. It stinks! Aren’t you sick and tired of hearing about unemployment, foreclosures, huge bailouts that we will wind up paying for and Wall Street executives giving themselves exorbitant bonuses as they continue to bankrupt our country?! And, how tired are we of hearing about “economic stimulus packages!”
Well, “I’m Tired of…” (ITo) has come up with its own tongue-in-cheek “economic stimulus” solution with the introduction of its new “I’m Tired of The Economy” bracelet.
So, here’s the plan. You buy an “I’m Tired of The Economy” eco friendly bracelet, made from recycled tires and metals, for $10 and you get a $5 “Economic Stimulus Instant Rebate” that comes right off your order! The only stipulation is you have to go out and spend your rebate to “stimulate” the economy. So, take your $5 and buy, for example, a cup of Starbucks, a Big Mac or maybe splurge on a couple gallons of gas...![]()

Of course, the “I’m Tired of…” campaign is normally serious business and is all about raising money for many of the world’s most important causes, like Global Warming, Animal Cruelty and Cancer. But, sometimes you’ve got to see a little humor in bad circumstances. We can all use a little levity trying to get through these tough times!
SO HOT!
