Fabulous Finds: "Soleful" PurposeA Color-Dictated Destiny

by Laurel House

I am a try-anything-once sort of girl. I am even willing to try things that I have been against (without rhyme or reason, mind you) my entire life. Take sororities for example. In college, I rushed a sorority because I always hated sororities and I didn't have any experience-based reason to. So on a whim, I joined, realized why I hated them, and dropped out…which brings me to a totally different concept, but emphasizes my try-anything-once mentality…Aura Soma.

I was introduced to Aura Soma by a friend, who said it was like a tarot card reading, but with colors. The concept is that you are the colors you choose. In order for you to actually get what I am talking about, I have to walk you through the experience.

Okay, first, I feel the need to just jump to the conclusion of this story for one second and tell you that in the end I was hooked and…yes…everything, and I mean every little frightening detail, was exactly on-point me!

So let's do it.

I walked into a little room and immediately noticed a box standing on a coffee table, filled with 105 little glass bottles, each filled with two different colors of liquid, no bottle bearing the same combination. Tomoko Izumi, an Aura Soma expert and bottle reader, explained that those little bottles are called Equilibrium bottles. Now, keep in mind that equilibrium is the zero point…the state of balance...and balance is what I am incessantly in search of.

I was asked to select one bottle, the bottle that resonated most with me at that moment. One bottle stood out from the rest…teal on top, navy on the bottom. Tomoko thought about the bottle for a moment and then asked me to pick another, then another and another. Each color has a specific significance, revealing intimate details of your past, present and future. When strung together, the order of the colors tells an even more in-depth story about the inner workings of your spiritual, emotional and physical self.

I sat through my color reading, winced, honestly almost cried, but still doubted this so-called future that was forming itself in front of me. Then a week later, it happened. What exactly "it" is, I'm not saying because…yes…it did come true and it is very private, even a little painful.

But more than illuminating who you are, were, and will be, by incorporating the Equilibrium bottles into your environment, which contain color, plant and crystal energies, you can actually strengthen your weaknesses. In fact, just surrounding yourself with supportive colors can enhance and better your life.

Unlike traditional psychics, palm or tarot readings, Aura Soma gives you tools to bolster areas in your current or future life that may need a little help…so much better than being delivered a basic reading, essentially a non-negotiable sentence.

Now I have to admit, I have taken Tomoko's color therapeutic advice to heart and practice in an attempt to tweak a few elements ingrained in my destiny. This whole Aura Soma thing could honestly become a monthly activity to try to perfect my future to my liking. Sometimes, the try-anything-once attitude pays off!
