Fabulous Finds: "Soleful" PurposeRub a Dub Dub, I got a New Scrub

Anyone who knows me will tell you that I have an enormous sweet tooth. I crave anything sweet and sugary, but often deprive myself in the name of skinny jeans. So when SCRUBZ All Natural Sugar Body Scrub caught my attention, I had to give it a whirl.

Leave it to women (the owners are sisters) to invent something sugary that can actually banish breakouts instead of encouraging them! With a motto of “softening the world one jar at a time,” SCRUBZ primary ingredient is refined sugar, an excellent natural exfolliant that will not burn, irritate or itch like other scrubs can, and it is gentle enough to use every day. Added to the sugar are a variety of plant-based oils, each hand-picked for its specific skin healing and nourishing properties, including toning, firming, purifying and free-radical nabbing, to name a few. The result is a body that is unbelievably soft and smooth to the touch. Long-term use is said to aid in the healing of dry and raw skin, while promoting new and healthy skin in its place. Regardless of how good you look and feel after using SCRUBZ, for me smell is just as important. That is why I was thrilled to discover that SCRUBZ are available in several different fragrance categories, such as citrus, floral, fresh and clean, fruity and sweet and woodsy and spice. My personal favorite is a toss-up between Jade from the floral collection and April Showerz from Fresh and Clean.

After using SCRUBZ for a few days, my skin felt as smooth as that of my children—but perhaps that’s because I scrubbed them too. That’s right, SCRUBZ makes a delightful little product called SCRUBBLEZ for children, that comes in fun flavors like Bananaberry Split and Cotton Candy (again don’t eat it). The fact that you can use this product on the delicate skin of children just affirms how gentle it actually is. My kiddos loved the way the Banaberry Split smelled and (although they don’t realize it) it did wonders for their little knees and elbows made rough and dry by so much time wrestling with each other on the carpet.
